Good Morning to everyone except the people who still think covid-19 is government propaganda.
Because you don’t think you have it or don’t know people who have it doesn’t mean other people can’t get it. Save a life and #wearamask.
I hope everyone had a great long weekend? I know I did! I visited new cities and stuffed my face with food (check out my stories)...
Based on the animation, what do you think we are talking about in this week’s YouTube video?
As a woman who grew up in Nigeria, I was not aware of certain things about me that stood out till I moved to America in 2007!
This week’s video was a difficult one to make because I had to dig up memories on racism and my experiences as a black immigrant woman in America.

I read on Wall Street Journal that the best thing to do since we are so close to the US elections is to stay completely away from social media.
I believe everyone is entitled to their opinion but the problem is people who come online to share misleading information & also troll others for not sharing the same opinion as them.
No matter what side you are on, please protect your mental health and your sanity this week & be safe out there!...
As someone who LOVES animation, I decided to incorporate it in most videos I upload on YouTube. The animation either highlights what Tito and I talk about in the video, or the food we will be eating.
For last Wednesday’s video, we ate Carnitas and the animation was a play on Mexico and craving Mexican food! Let me know if you like it!

FAQ: What type of camera do you use?
I use a Sony a7r II with a Sigma 24mm lens
Photography is however not 100% about the equipment. Last year, I broke my camera so I had to use my phone to take alot of my travel pictures. You would not be able to tell.
Photography is mainly about how well you can execute a vision. The equipment is secondary.

ART AT HOME
I had some flowers and fruits from a few weeks ago that were drying up and I decided to cut them up and make it art.
Tips for taking pictures indoors
1. Have a vision. It makes the process faster. I look at IG & Pinterest for inspiration.
2. Always use extra lighting eg a ring light.
3. Add eye catching elements from your surroundings.
4. Use a backdrop that pops but is not too busy.
5. Use a wide angle lens
6. Last but not least, HAVE FUN!!!!...
What have you given up voluntarily or involuntarily because of quarantine?
One of the things I have given up so far is alcohol. I drink in restaurants and outings but I have not been able to since quarantine and I have not sought it out as well.
Do I miss social gatherings? Yes! Do I miss alcohol? Not really. I might have a beer after I post this though because now I am thinking about it 😂...
Is everyone as ready as I am to start traveling again? I am very excited to start a weekly segment on my YouTube channel which is a 5 minute travel chat.
I will be sharing my travel stories and tips. Tips include saving for travel, travel photography, dating abroad etc.
I was inspired to start this segment because I want to educate people on how to travel better when countries open up.
First video will be up this weekend or early next week. Please subscribe to my channel. Link in bio...
America’s true independence day is Juneteenth but I digress 💅🏾
I am not mad at getting Friday off though. I was supposed to be in Jamaica this weekend but covid had other plans.
I plan to spend the long weekend by exploring cities outside of Chicago and enjoying a picnic on a lavender field in Wisconsin.
How are you spending your long weekend?...
⬅️⬅️SWIPE LEFT for a picnic grocery list
Picnics are fun and they are so IN this summer. Getting a list of things to buy was daunting because I wanted my spread to be simple but also stacked.
I decided to share my grocery list because people have expressed interest in planning a picnic as well! All groceries from @traderjoes
Remember to have fun ❤️...
⬅️⬅️ SWIPE LEFT FOR A HASHTAG GUIDE <SHARE AND SAVE>
If you are a blogger, business owner or aspiring to be any of those and not using hashtags to reach a wider audience, you are missing out!
I shared my insights on Instagram stories few weeks ago and alot of you saw my reach from hashtags (8K - 19K+) depending on the post. Reach = Number of people that see your post.
I was asked to show my hashtag strategy and I shared it on my stories few days ago (can be found on my highlights).
For those who missed my stories, here is a summary.
Let me know if you found this helpful ❤️...
Did you find it challenging to create in quarantine? I know I did!
Being creative at home is challenging for me because I am the type that always wants to go outside. I am learning to change that thought process and making use of the resources available to me.
Now with everything opening back up, I am hoping to go outside soon (safely) and do what I love doing best which is creating....
Can you believe that this is Uganda?!
I could barely believe it myself!! Africa has ALOT of gems that need to be discovered!
One of the gems and the country that surprised me most is Uganda!
It is one of the cheapest countries I have ever visited and absolutely green and beautiful!
In Uganda, visiting Lake Bunyonyi is a must as well as taking a cruise down the Nile and Gorilla trekking.
Gorillas can only be seen in Uganda, Rwanda and DRC so if you have the $$$ ($600), I recommend this activity for your travel bucketlist....
