What is your spirit animal?
Elephants eat and frolick all day which makes them my spirit animals because I do the same 😂
I did not realize how much I cared for animals <minus geckos and snakes> till I was in my late 20s! Seeing Elephants eating well and flourishing in their habitat makes my heart warm!...
Here to wish everyone a Happy New Week! I recieved calls from friends this week asking how I have been coping and saying the year needs to be over because it’s been overwhelming!
2020 has definitely been alot for everyone but hang in there! We will get through the year together and come out stronger ❤️🙏🏽
Mural by @liladasart! Very well articulated piece!...
I just never know what to do with my hands 😂
Checking in on everyone to see how we are all doing?
It’s okay to not be okay at this time also with US elections coming up, the tension here is so high.
I can’t believe the lockdowns started only in Feb/March, it feels like 2020 has been 5 years stuffed in 1.
Reminder as restrictions are slightly easing up remember to continue to #wearamask...
The typical racist hates being challenged, they hate seeing changes in favor of minorities and they are hypocrites.
Some of the non-allies looted businesses in the guise of allyship but black people took the blame! The typical racist absolutely hates it when they are called out on this and many other atrocities perpertuated by their beloved America (slavery, exploitation, killings, lootings, the list is endless). We are tired and we are ready for change!
The protests, social media posts, comments, donations and many more are impacting change!
We are experiencing history in the making!
Keep it up!
Has your city/country opened back up?
I was out this weekend and I noticed in Chicago, everything has basically opened back up. I even got an email from my “you know what” waxing place that they are open so I guess everyone is open open now!
Summertime might not be dead afterall but remember to wear masks and practice social distancing while out and about!
Good Morning to everyone except the people who still think covid-19 is government propaganda.
Because you don’t think you have it or don’t know people who have it doesn’t mean other people can’t get it. Save a life and #wearamask.
I hope everyone had a great long weekend? I know I did! I visited new cities and stuffed my face with food (check out my stories)...
Happy Monday! What is an overhyped city or landmark in your opinion?
Galle is an example of those places that people hyped on blogs. I decided to visit and drove 1 hour from the hotel in Mirissa to Galle and the main attraction is Galle Fort (pictured).
The fort is a UNESCO heritage site which I think is cool but I don’t recommend dedicating the whole day to see Galle like I did. There are other attractions near the fort like Galle Dutch area but all can be seen within 2 hours! I did go to the beach afterwards in order to make the most of my day (check out my stories)...
Outfit post from my picnic and city escape last weekend. I don’t do enough of these and I always get questions about my clothes.
These dresses are from @asos and I got them for about $30 each on sale. I usually wait till clothes go on sale or better still wait till stores have additional xzy% off sale prices so I am assured of the best deal before shopping.
Buying clothes full price is so 2013.
Jk if you have the dough then by all means. I still refuse to buy clothes full price 😭

I miss visiting Mexico several times a year as if it was behind my house.
I am pretty sure I would have visited at least twice by now if not for the lockdown.
Cheers to currently visiting Mexico in the spirit by looking at #archives haha.
I think trips within a country of residence would be popular after lockdowns are over. I would definitely be taking advantage of exploring the US more. Top states on my list are California, Colorado, Utah and Oregon. What states are on your US bucketlist?...
Last trip before everything officially went to shit. Things I have been doing to keep busy:
I don’t think I have gotten this much rest ever! I am also thankful for the workers and healthcare professionals on the front lines. No one chooses their line of work thinking they will deal with a pandemic but here we are and they keep pushing. Thank you 🙏🏽...
I turn 29 today and it does not feel like a Happy Birthday for certain reasons. Like some of you know, my Mom passed away 1 week ago due to covid-19 complications. She was a nurse who literally gave her all to her work.
I wish I could celebrate my birthday under different circumstances but God knows best.
I am sure she is smiling at me and telling me to cheer up. Here is to year 29 and many more years to come 🍾🥂
I get questions from well wishers about how my family can be supported at this time. There is a go fund me link in my bio which was set up for her. Thank you to EVERYONE who has donated so far! The love has been overwhelming!...
Can you believe that this is Uganda?!
I could barely believe it myself!! Africa has ALOT of gems that need to be discovered!
One of the gems and the country that surprised me most is Uganda!
It is one of the cheapest countries I have ever visited and absolutely green and beautiful!
In Uganda, visiting Lake Bunyonyi is a must as well as taking a cruise down the Nile and Gorilla trekking.
Gorillas can only be seen in Uganda, Rwanda and DRC so if you have the $$$ ($600), I recommend this activity for your travel bucketlist....
