Here to wish everyone a Happy New Week! I recieved calls from friends this week asking how I have been coping and saying the year needs to be over because it’s been overwhelming!
2020 has definitely been alot for everyone but hang in there! We will get through the year together and come out stronger ❤️🙏🏽
Mural by @liladasart! Very well articulated piece!...

Sending love and light to whoever is reading this caption. I know so many things are going on around us with covid-19, racism, oppression and police brutality. It is okay to protect your mental health by muting all social media till you are more comfortable.
It is also okay to talk about it. Some people have said talking does not do anything but I disagree. It is spreading information which is an action in its own.
I hope everyone has a safe weekend ❤️...
What trip did you cancel due to lockdowns?
I was supposed to travel to Madagascar for my birthday trip today (NOW ACTUALLY)! I have been planning it for MONTHS!!!! I have wanted to visit Madagascar for years now but tickets never made sense and I finally saw a ticket for the low low and hopped on it.
The lemurs, the nature, the beaches. My heart cannot take it 😭😭
I am hurt! Better luck in 2021...
Happy Friday lovely people!!
Yesterday, I ate a platter of sushi with @titocee2000 and drank a bottle of wine.
With the current state of the world, finding the calm in things that make me happy is very important for self care! Food and anime make me happy so I indulge!
PS: The killers of Breonna Taylor are still at large! Don’t stop talking, sharing, and donating because feeds and stories are returning to normal. Our actions will pave the way for justice!...
Does social media influence you to travel?
For me it does! I have the typical bucketlist countries which I cross off when I visit but certain pictures from fellow travelers & influencers makes me want to visit a place.
Sri Lanka is a bucket list destination and also influenced by social media. The beautiful scenery that you literally have to see to believe made me buy that ticket and take the solo trip!
My February has been made!
I went ziplining in Ella after visiting Nine Arches Bridge. Check out my stories to see the experience. #srilanka...
I wonder if we will be able to enjoy food festivals like we did few months ago.

The train route from Nurawa Eliya to Ella is probably the most scenic in the world! The train passes alot of tea plantations, waterfalls, rice fields and vegetable farms and it is definitely worth the hype!
The full train route is 7hours but the ride from Nurawa Eliya to Ella is 3 hours! I stayed awake throughout the ride because it’s just so beautiful!
PS- I did not take the picture that is common on insta where people hang off the train. I am not THAT brave 😂🤣...

Last week was challenging for me but here I am thankful for a new day and ready to crush the week!
I was at a point where I did not want to get anything done but I am thankful for my support system who always pulls me out of my funk!
I am also thankful for my Insta community who always engages with me. It keeps a smile on my face ❤️
Let’s make this week count...
I miss visiting Mexico several times a year as if it was behind my house.
I am pretty sure I would have visited at least twice by now if not for the lockdown.
Cheers to currently visiting Mexico in the spirit by looking at #archives haha.
I think trips within a country of residence would be popular after lockdowns are over. I would definitely be taking advantage of exploring the US more. Top states on my list are California, Colorado, Utah and Oregon. What states are on your US bucketlist?...
Just got out of self care week. I slept and recouped all of last week and my body is finally back in Chicago time whoop (take that jetlag)
Why am I here today? To talk about Coronavirus. I know it’s scary but the mass hysteria is making it out to be more than what it is. Coronaviruses are a family of viruses which causes respiratory infections but the one we see on the news is 2019-nCov.
It is a mild respiratory infection which just like the common cold most people recover from.
What is my point here? Just like the flu or a cold, you can prevent transmission by washing your hands, following good respiratory hygene and staying home when you are feeling unwell.
So people canceling travel plans, I would not cancel mine I would just practice extra safety eg wipe spaces with clorox, etc. Please stay safe, stay home if you feel sick & pray for the safety of the world...
Today, I want to encourage you to visit cities and landmarks close to you regardless of your expectations!
I have been spending time resesrching things to do around me and of the cities I found was Baraboo, Wisconsin.
Baraboo is a cute city with a lavender farm that hosts the best picnics. If I am being honest, the lavender farm did not meet my expectations. The owners said they struggled with growing lavenders however, the lavender themed picnic and hike at the scenic lake in Baraboo made the 3 hour drive worthwhile. Would I do it again? Absolutely!...

How can I serve my community in a time where travel is restricted?
By showing that creating at home is possible and engaging and by making funny and educational YouTube videos for my audience (link to subscribe in bio).
In my spare time, I look at travel destinations and dream. I especially miss sharing my travel hijinks on my Instagram stories and I miss my community laughing at the madness.
If there is anything you especially want to see on my platform and YouTube? Please leave a comment below!

So many people have asked me where I get my strength and energy from. I get it from life and life lessons.
I observe things that happen around me and these things give me strength. The strength to know that everything happens for a reason and somethings in life cannot be reversed. The strength to also know that human beings are fragile so it’s best to live your life to the fullest.
Life makes me feel so fulfilled regardless of any curveballs and I am thankful for the strength to continue living and smiling!
Happy Saturday and what is everyone doing this weekend? I will be running some errands and cleaning my apartment....
I turn 29 today and it does not feel like a Happy Birthday for certain reasons. Like some of you know, my Mom passed away 1 week ago due to covid-19 complications. She was a nurse who literally gave her all to her work.
I wish I could celebrate my birthday under different circumstances but God knows best.
I am sure she is smiling at me and telling me to cheer up. Here is to year 29 and many more years to come 🍾🥂
I get questions from well wishers about how my family can be supported at this time. There is a go fund me link in my bio which was set up for her. Thank you to EVERYONE who has donated so far! The love has been overwhelming!...
